Den 1946-1947 Scottish League Cup var åpnings iscenesettelse av Skottlands nest mest prestisjefylte fotball knockout konkurranse. Konkurransen ble vunnet av Rangers , som beseiret Aberdeen 4–0 i finalen.

Turneringen ble en årlig konkurranse i den skotske fotballkalenderen med retur av vanlig fotball etter andre verdenskrig . Forrige sesong hadde den uoffisielle Southern League Cup 1945–46 blitt bestridt av lag over hele landet og vist seg å være populær; finalen (også mellom Aberdeen og Rangers) tiltrukket en mengde publikum på 135.000 på Hampden Park ). Det ble dermed videreført på disse linjene på en offisiell basis fra da av.
