Bemerkelsesverdige hendelser
Det ble avholdt en sluttspill om en kamp for å bestemme fjerdeplassen i Western Division fordi San Diego Conquistadors og Denver Rockets begge hadde uavgjort om fjerdeplassen i løpet av den ordinære sesongen. Kampen ble spilt 29. mars 1974, med Conquistadors som vant 131–111 seier i Denver.
Den Carolina Cougars spilt sin siste kamp 8. april 1974, tape hjemme til Kentucky oberster 128-119 i det siste spillet i sin Eastern Division semifinalen serien, som oberster feide 4 spill til ingen. Cougars spilte i de to resterende sesongene av ABA som Spirits of St. Louis og var et av bare to lag (oberstene som var det andre) som var igjen under ABA-NBA-fusjonen for ikke å gå inn i NBA.
