Den 1988 NCAA Division II fotball sesong , en del av college fotball i USA i regi av National Collegiate Athletic Association i Division II nivå, startet i august 1988, og konkluderte med NCAA Division II fotball-EM 10. desember 1988, på Braly kommunale stadion i Firenze, Alabama , arrangert av University of North Alabama . The North Dakota State Bison beseiret Portland State Vikings , 35-21, for å vinne sin fjerde divisjon II nasjonale tittelen. Turneringsbraketten utvidet seg også for første gang, fra 8 lag til 16 lag.
