Den 1990 NCAA Division II fotball sesong , en del av college fotball i USA i regi av National Collegiate Athletic Association i Division II nivå, startet i august 1990, og konkluderte med NCAA Division II fotball-EM 8. desember 1990, på Braly kommunale stadion i Firenze, Alabama , arrangert av University of North Alabama . The North Dakota State Bison beseiret Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks, da kjent som indianere , 51-11, for å vinne sin femte divisjon II nasjonale tittelen.

• Ett program forlot divisjon II for divisjon I-AA før sesongen.
• Den Vesten Intercollegiate Football Conference (MIFC) ble grunnlagt før sesongen av fotballspillende medlemmer av Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (seks lag) og Heartland Collegiate Conference (fem lag). Som sådan forlot GLIAC sponsingen av fotball og Heartland ble oppløst.
