Den 1998 NCAA Division I-AA fotballsesongen , en del av college fotball i USA i regi av National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) ved Divisjon I-AA nivå, begynte i august 1998, og konkluderte med 1998 NCAA Division I- AA fotballmesterskapskamp 19. desember 1998 på Finley Stadium i Chattanooga, Tennessee . Den UMass Minutemen vant sin første I-AA mesterskapet, beseiret Georgia Southern Eagles med en score på 55-43.
