Han har jobbet med Billy Harper , Eddie Henderson , Kenny Garrett , Dennis Irwin , Joe Chambers , Charli Persip , Portinho , Zé Renato , The Temptations , The Four Tops , Frankie Valli , Bobby Short , Lew Soloff , Bernard Purdie og Ray Vega.
Luthra har også opptrådt eller studert med Hindustani og Carnatic -musikerne Selvaganesh Vinayakram , Pandit Trichy Sankaran , Pandit Samir Chatterjee, Krishnan Lalgudi & Vijayalakshmi Lalgudi, Pandit Karaikudi Subramaniam, Steve Gorn , Kiran Ahluwalia, Sufi -sanger Zila Khan og Asha .
Luthra ble intervjuet av Linus Wyrsch på The Jazz Hole for Breakthruradio.
Luthra ble utnevnt til komponisten-in-residence 2017-2018 på Flushing Town Hall av Exploring the Metropolis. I forbindelse med dette ble han tildelt et 2018 New Works Grant av Queens Council on the Arts for å ha premiere på musikken som ble komponert under hans komponistopphold. I 2021 ble Luthra kåret til Interdisciplinary Artist-in-Residence ved University of Wisconsin-Madisons Divison of the Arts.
