The Chesapeake Tide var en tidligere profesjonell Indoor Football team basert i Upper Marlboro, Maryland . Laget begynte å spille i 2007 som et utvidelsesteam i Continental Indoor Football League . Grunnleggende eier av tidevannet var Martin Johnson. The Tide spilte hjemmekampene sine på The Show Place Arena . Midtveis i 2008-sesongen ble laget anskaffet av Messay Hailermariam. Hailermariam brettet laget på slutten av sesongen og grunnla Maryland Maniacs . Til tross for å spille på samme arena med samme hovedtrener, var ikke Maniacs en fortsettelse av tidevannet.

Tidevannet vant det siste spillet av deres eksistens, på veien, mot New Jersey Revolution. Teamet ble ledet av 7 touchdown-pasninger fra quarterback Joe Urso, og løpende mottaker Darryl Overtons fire poeng (tre mottok, en rushing), wide mottakerens Daryl Disbrow Jr. og Ray McCarter var også mottakere av Ursos touchdown-pasninger.
