Jay Karl Stevens er en poet, historiker og journalist med en spesiell interesse for bevissthetstilstander . Han er forfatter av Storming Heaven: LSD and the American Dream , og medforfatter av Drumming at the Edge of Magic med Grateful Dead perkusjonist Mickey Hart og etnomusikolog Fredric Lieberman .
