John Sallis - John Sallis

John Sallis (født 1938) er en amerikansk filosof som er kjent for sitt arbeid innen fenomenologitradisjonen . Siden 2005 har han vært Frederick J. Adelmann professor i filosofi ved Boston College . Han har tidligere undervist ved Pennsylvania State University (1996–2005), Vanderbilt University (1990–1995), Loyola University of Chicago (1983–1990), Duquesne University (1966–1983) og University of the South (1964–1966) .

Han er broren til forfatteren James Sallis .

Sallis tok doktorgraden ved Tulane University i 1964. Avhandlingen hans hadde tittelen "The Concept of World." Han mottok en æresdoktor fra University of Freiburg , Tyskland .
