Musikfest er en amerikansk musikkfestival som har blitt holdt årlig siden 1984 i Bethlehem, Pennsylvania . Det hevder å være landets største ikke-gated gratis musikkfestival. Festivalen begynner den første fredagen i august (foregående siden 2015 med en "forhåndsvisningskveld" på torsdag som involverer premiumscenen og tilstøtende områder) og avsluttes den andre søndagen deretter.

Hvert år tar tusenvis av besøkende og innbyggere i Pennsylvania turen til Betlehem for å delta i en feiring som går gjennom et moravisk samfunn som dateres tilbake til 1741. 2018 markerer 35 -årsjubileet for den årlige festivalen, som gikk fra 3. til 12. august.

En spesiell "35th Anniversary" plakat ble laget av Dan Mugrauer, tatovør og eier av Blood Moon Tattoo Syndicate i Ambler, PA. Kunstverket vil også bli brukt til det offisielle festivalkruset og suvenirer, mens det blir innlemmet i andre offisielle festivalvarer og klær hele året.

Musikkfest 2013

Musikfest 2013, som igjen presenteres av ArtsQuest, fant sted fra 2. til 11. august. Festivalen inkluderte hundrevis av forestillinger av band, artister, komikere, håndverkere og buskers. De opptrådte på over 14 innendørs og utendørs scener og arenaer i hele Bethlehems historiske sentrum fra 1700-tallet, Sands Casino SteelStacks Plaza, Artsquest Center, PNC Plaza og Yuengling Musikfest Cafe. Årets festival var spesiell ved at det var 30 -årsjubileum for Musikfest, og som sådan ble det planlagt mange spesielle arrangementer og konserter for å feire dette arrangementet. Festivalens siste dag ble begrenset av et imponerende fyrverkeri presentert av Garden State Fireworks .

Nytt på festivalen var et arrangement kalt "Musikfest Color-Me-Rad 5K"; et 5K løp med en vri, løperne ble peltet med malingsbomber fra tilskuere, i tillegg til å dodge og kaste malingsbomber mot hverandre. Ny på festivalen var også den første årlige Musikfest Volunteer Photography Exhibition. Utstillingen fremhevet talentene til de dedikerte frivillige som dokumenterer Musikfest hvert år. Utstillingen inneholdt arbeidet til Dave Happel, Keith Huylebroeck, Joseph Ledva, Jeff Levy, Greg Ludwig, Diane Richter, Bob Yurko og Adrianne Zimmerman.

2011 Utøvere

Musikfest 2011, som igjen blir presentert av ArtsQuest, vil finne sted fra 5. til 14. august. Festivalen vil inneholde rundt 500 musikalske forestillinger på 14 innendørs og utendørs scener i hele Bethlehems historiske sentrum fra 1700-tallet. I tillegg vil arrangementet vise frem deilig mat og desserter av mer enn 60 leverandører, en rekke barneaktiviteter, billedkunst og håndverk og et fyrverkeri som avsluttes.

Årets tema er "The Song Remains ...", og artistene og arrangementene vil vise frem dette. Det offisielle nettstedet indikerer at arrangementet vil bli ekstra spesielt, siden det er noen spennende, nye endringer i vente da de planlegger å inkludere en del av festivalen i SteelStacks på Bethlehems sørside.

Musikfest 2010, presentert av ArtsQuest, fant sted 6.-15. august 2010. 1984 markerte det første året for den årlige festivalen. Det var langt færre handlinger enn det er for øyeblikket, og størrelsen på festivalen var mye mindre enn den er akkurat nå. 182 000 mennesker deltok på den aller første festivalen, og siden den gang har tallet økt sterkt.
