J Saul Kane (født 1969) er en engelsk DJ, musiker som har gitt ut innspilt materiale siden 1987 som Depth Charge og The Octagon Man , blant annet discs. Han er også eier av plateselskapene DC Recordings and Electron Industries.
Han er kjent for sin banebrytende bruk av prøver , særlig fra kultfilmer innen kampsport , Spaghetti Western og pornografiske sjangre. Han har også laget spor som feirer sitt favorittfotballag ( Brasil på 1990-singelen "Goal") og spiller (på 1998-singelen " Romário "). Kane er ofte kreditert for å ha oppfunnet "trip hop" og "big beat"; han brukte kung-fu filmprøver før Wu-Tang Clan . Hans andre aliaser inkluderer Alexanders Dark Band, TET og Grimm Death.
Som en bekreftet kung-fu-filmfan var Kane involvert i å etablere selskapet Made in Hong Kong, som lisensierte kinesiske filmer, spesielt de laget av Shaw Brothers . Mange av disse filmene er eksempler på den heroiske blodsutgytelsen ( The Killer , A Moment of Romance ). Made in Hong Kong var det første selskapet som ga ut Stephen Chow- filmer på VHS i Storbritannia.
