Welland Goldsmith School ( WGS ) er en barneskole, ungdomsskole og ungdomsskole i Kolkata , Vest -Bengal . WGS har to grener, en på Bowbazar og den andre på Patuli . Bowbazar-grenen ble opprettet i 1869 og patuli- grenen i 2004. Bowbazar- grenen er en jenteskole mens Patuli-grenen er en co-pedagogisk skole. Begge skolene er tilknyttet Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi med ICSE på klasse X -nivå og ISC på klasse XII -nivå som består av tre bekker, dvs. Vitenskap, handel, humaniora.
Historie
Pastor Joseph Welland , MAof Trinity Dublin var ansvarlig for å starte Old Church Day School i 1876. H. Skolen flyttet inn i lokalene i 1884.
I år 1890 overtok pastor Herbert Gouldsmith MA Oxford ansvaret for Old Mission Church. I november 1891 begynte han Free Day School i tillegg til Welland School for betalende studenter.
I år 1900 bosatte skolen seg i de nye bydelene på Bepin Behari Ganguly Street 288.
I 1936 ble Welland School kombinert med Gouldsmith Free School for å bli kalt Welland Gouldsmith School.
