Andrew Sung Park er en koreansk amerikansk metodistteolog . Park underviser ved United Theological Seminary i Trotwood, Ohio . Han spesialiserer seg på systematisk teologi , global teologi, tverrkulturell teologi, asiatisk amerikansk frigjøringsteologi , kristen mystikk og forholdet mellom religion og vitenskap . Han har utvidet teologien om emosjonell smerte ved å utforske det koreanske begrepet han .
Personlige liv
Park ble født i Sør-Korea. Familien hans emigrerte fra Sør-Korea til USA i 1973. Han bor i Beavercreek, Ohio sammen med sin kone Jane Myong, og har to barn, Amos Park og Thomas Park.
Utdannelse og karriere
I 1973 mottok Park en BA ved Methodist Theological Seminary. Ved Iliff School of Theology i 1978 mottok han M.Div. . Deretter gikk han på Claremont School of Theology og oppnådde en MA i 1981. Park fikk til slutt en doktorgrad. ved Graduate Theological Union i 1985; hans avhandling der diskuterte minjungsteologi . Han fortsatte med å bli med i United Theological Seminary i Ohio i 1992.
